Mixed methods: more than adding open-ended questions to a questionnaire or an adjunct to a trial?

Dr Byrne will question what we mean by mixed methods and how we can all use mixed methods more in health research. This session will cover the main models of mixed methods research design, illustrate the most common mixed methods approaches used in health research, and why it is now an approach ‘endorsed by funders and embraced by trialists’ (Snowdon, C. 2015 Qualitative and mixed methods research in trials, BMJ, 16:558).

Presenters:        Dr Elaine Byrne, Institute of Leadership

Duration:             1 hours (12:00 – 13:00)

All courses are bookable on the Upcoming Courses page
