Communicating Science
The workshop is designed to give an overview on different aspects of science communication and how RCSI can support researchers in communicating their work effectively. The workshop will explore how scientific achievement or discovery appears on the news; What makes it attractive to media? How to bring the message across? How media educates the public on scientific topics? How it affects research funding policy? These questions will be discussed with the examples from the Irish print media and will also include some practical tips on supports available from RCSI’s Communications Department.
