This course is designed to introduce you to core functionality in Moodle. Topics include:
Editing Course Settings (Course name, dates, format)
- Adding:
- Files (e.g. PDFs, slides, etc.)
- Folders
- URLs (linking to web resources including book chapters and videos in Clinical Key & Access Medicine)
- Pages
- ‘Books’
- Labels
- Quick renaming and moving resources around the course page.
- Embedding images
- Embedding videos
- Discussion Forums
- Creating forums and posting discussions
- Subscription settings and setting requirements for participation
- Scheduled posts i.e. posting a message now to appear to students on a future date.
- Subscribing to individual discussions (as opposed to the complete forum).
Course Page Layouts
- Improving the layout of a course page
- Topics grid format
- Flexible Sections format (new)
- Showing 1 topic per page
Restricting Access to topics or resources to certain users, groups, dates, students who completed a different activity etc.
