Health and Safety Representative Training – On line
This course is designed for new and existing safety representatives. The aim of the course is to raise awareness of the role of a safety representative, and to provide health and safety information relevant to this role.
Learning outcomes:
On successful completion of this course you should be able to:
- Identify key sections of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005
- Describe the role (functions) of a safety representative
- Identify the rights of a safety representative
- Understand the basis of risk assessment
- Source information and resources available to safety representatives
Duration: 30mins – online
2 hours – classroom
Following completion of the online training, forward a copy of your certificate to safety@rcsi.ie . A 2 hour course will then require completion in RCSI to discuss the specific of the Health and Safety Rep role here and the Health and Safety Committees. A date for the course will be confirmed with you once you forward your certificate.
