This introductory course invites you to explore mindfulness in the context of stress reduction and to cultivate the ability to be focused, clear, creative and compassionate, to self and to others. To this end, participants will explore and practice a range of mindfulness and experiential exercises, reflecting on what we bring to the workplace and stopping to take stock of what really matters at work.
In this one-day seminar you will learn:
- Practical coping skills to improve your ability to handle stressful situations
- To stay in touch with the present moment and be less caught up in negative thought patterns
- To develop more helpful responses to stress, anxiety and low mood
- To use simple exercises and practices which can transform daily living
- How the mind works and the evidence and benefits for practicing mindfulness
The seminar will consist of a balance of experiential and creative exercises, discussion, reflective practices and meditation.
