The Data Science Centre is offering a new course in Statistics and Data Analysis in Stata for Beaumont researchers
The course is aimed at any research staff who may need to perform statistical analysis as part of their research.
The course will be taught using the Stata statistical software. No previous experience with Stata is required.
Classes will be held once a week for 10 weeks and will cover:
- Introduction to statistical reasoning
- Introduction to Stata statistics package
- Data cleaning and visualisation in Stata
- Summary statistics
- Confidence Intervals and Hypothesis tests
- Regression techniques
- Power and sample size calculations
Course length: One 90 minute class per week for 10 weeks

End Date: Tuesday 12th February 2019
Location: Integrated Teaching Room (Computer Lab), First floor, Smurfit Building, Beaumont
