A hypothesis is a testable prediction about the relationship between several variables.
There are way too many tests to go through each one but in this session we will explain the role of chance and bias as potential explanations for patterns in data, interpret p-values and identify the situations in which some common statistical tests are used. Following hypothesis tests we will briefly look at what confidence intervals are and why we need them.
Target audience: All researchers conducting hypothesis tests, interested in the theory behind hypothesis tests or interesting in learning about confidence intervals.
