Goal: Enabling RCSI researchers to understand the commercial potential of their inventions

After this course, the researcher should be able to:

  • Understand the resources available for market research
  • Understand the importance of Clinician/KOL/End user feedback
  • Identify the most appropriate market segment for their technology and any barriers to entry
  • Identify the competitor products and articulate a value proposition
  • Quantify the total addressable market
  • Identify potential partners/licensees
  • Understand how validated Market Research can support invention disclosures and strengthen applications for commercialisation funding such as the SFI TIDA and the EI Commercialisation Fund.

Target Audience: Post docs and PI’s new to commercialisation

Duration: 1 hour
