Measuring the impact of your research has become more important in recent years and funding agencies increasingly require bibliometric analyses. In order to represent the breadth of your research, a range of metrics should be provided. Dr Denis Reidy will give an overview of available metrics and their responsible use, including the importance of robustness, transparency and diversity. He will concentrate on the SciVal tool, which uses Scopus data to analyse research, benchmark with meaning and accuracy, develop collaborative partnerships and identify trends.
Following on this introductory session, hands-on workshops and Q&A sessions on SciVal are scheduled from September to the end of the year.
